I have yet to capture a picture of this event, but I will...
Recently we gave Brody the idea that when he closes his eyes he becomes invisible. Every time he shuts his eyes we pretend not to see him and he thinks it's hilarious.
Well, a couple nights ago, I was getting Brody's bath ready and when I walked into the living room where he was playing I said, "Okay little man, it's time for your bath." As soon as Brody heard the word bath he stopped running around immediately in the center of the room, clenched his fists and closed his eyes tight, convinced that I couldn't see him.
I died laughing and still when I think about it I can't help but laugh out loud.
Hilarious!!!

"Piggy Bank Please!"
Ever since we stayed with Grandma and Grandpa Edwards, Brody has been bugging us for a piggy bank. Well, we finally delivered with not one, but TWO piggy banks. One really one and one toy that he can learn all about money. He was so incredibly excited and we almost had to let him sleep with them. Maybe we can learn to save money from him.
San Diego
To escape from the heat for a while we packed into the car and drove to San Diego. It was absolutely beautiful there at 71 degrees. Just a slight change from 115 in Phoenix. Here are the photos from all the magic that happened there.
Awesome pitching machine that Brody rocked.
Cousins in the tub!
Do you remember those cereal bowls with the straws attached you could all the chocolate milk from your Coco Puffs? Yep, you're looking at 'em.
Cruisin' in the convertible down the 101.

Beach BBQ night. Truly nothing like it!

Fun with Grandma and Grandpa
I'm a little behind, but I wanted to post these pics for Grandma and Grandpa. We had a great time there a couple weeks ago and Brody is still talking about it. We love you Grandma and Grandpa Edwards!
Fun with Grandma under the kitchen table...Brody's favorite hiding place during his stay.
Peeling an orange by himself for the first time. He did the whole thing on his own. Thank goodness for easy peel clementines!
Swingin' with Nick!

Grandpa taught him how to use the tractor.
Ferris wheel with Aunt Christel...no idea who the chubby kid next to them was.
Pirate ship ride...AAARRRGGG!
And last the train ride...Brody's favorite at the Taylorsville Days Festival. We had so much fun and can't wait to go back and visit Grandma and Grandpa again!
4th of July Fun
This year we attended the Gilbert Old Fashioned 4th of July Celebration. Brody, of course, loved it...despite the heat and despite the crowds.
We introduced him to the wonderful world of Shaved Ice Tiger's Blood...yum!

We realized we arrived to this thing really early in 106 degree heat. Do I love Arizona...hmmm...
Thank goodness for live music and a DJ to keep Brody entertained. I think he danced for an hour straight. I'm not kidding. This kid was running in circles and jumping all over the place to every song. Maybe it was the snow cone kickin' in, but the energy seemed endless.

This is really what he looked like to us, just a blur of awesome moves!

That's me...trying to keep up.

My camera has a fireworks setting on it so I thought I'd give it a shot...pretty cool. Brody was so sweet during the fireworks. He was a little scared at first, but quickly warmed up to the idea and then was totally in love with them. They made the baby kick and when I said she was scared, he started rubbing my belly and saying, "It's okay sister. Just fireworks. Don't be scared." What a good big brother.

Hope everyone had a fantastic 4th!
